During college, I studied computer engineering, finance and statistics at the University of Pennsylvania and Boston College. Upon graduation, I transitioned into financial analysis for a valuation consulting firm in Philadelphia, PA. I moved out west to join a startup as a Senior Financial Analyst, Real Estate Analyst and IT Specialist. After helping build the firm from the ground up, I jumped over to the right side of my brain to write screenplays and shoot films.
Eventually I co-wrote, directed and produced an independent film, and sold a screenplay entitled, "The Fourth Horseman" to Intrepid Pictures.
Later, I was hit by the ad bug, and took a position as a Senior Copywriter for Chiat Day where I created integrated ad campaigns, experiential and transmedia concepts for Nissan, Infiniti and AARP.
Afterward, I wrote for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online as a contractor to bolster my interactive chops. Later, I joined a digital/mobile agency operating out of LA, San Luis Obispo and San Jose to build out their copywriting and content strategy departments. After the departments became self-sustaining, I led the UI and creative direction side of the business for the San Jose office bringing in and growing accounts including Apple, NetApp, Facebook, Cisco, Yahoo, Skype, Bandai/Namco, and others.
To learn the production side of the ad game, I began working with Jim Evans at Untitled, a West LA production company, writing commercial treatments helping to develop long-and short-form branded television projects, which led to me directing several spots. Simultaneously, one of my television pilots was optioned by Warner Horizon which prompted a fun and exciting network pitch tour and a development stint with Juvee Productions.
Since then, I've worked on and led some cool projects: a Marvel comic book; video game launch campaigns, a VR scifi short film; Google-branded sites, several long- and short-format film and tv scripts; experiential concepts for several film studios and streaming sites; 360 and social-only campaigns, an industry impact report for XPrize; creative and content strategies for a real estate startup; brand, messaging and social strategies for Ticketmaster; a host of campaigns for SiriusXM and Pandora—and more.
When I'm not telling stories, in some form or another, you'll catch me being a dad, surfing, racing motorcycles, playing piano recitals, strumming the guitar, practicing Muay Thai and blasting zombies in VR.
